Muncie
In 2019, I worked with NFL Labs to launch a product unlike any the league had ever created: a Voice Assistant. Muncie — named after the Muncie Flyers, one of the first NFL teams — is a mobile app that function much like Siri. It allows fans to ask about and get answers to nearly anything NFL-related: players, teams, schedules, scores, rules, league history. My role was to write content that would be user-friendly and engaging for a voice experience.
HOW IT WORKS
A video welcomes users to the app and orients them to Muncie as a character and how the app works.
KEY FEATURES
Once in the app, users can ask about anything NFL-related, and Muncie will return an answer. Players, teams, schedules, score, award history — Muncie knows it all.
To help orient users, the app suggests questions and topics. And every response is tagged with additional content, to help engage users and keep them digging for more info.
The app also allows users to customize it to a specific team. They can then get team-specific content, such as news, scores, and schedules.
